From Apprentice to Business Owner

Patrick MacLeod started his HVAC career at George Brown College, earning his Air Conditioning/Refrigeration journeyman status and later his G2 license from Hi Mark Occupational School. Over the next 20+ years, he worked with established HVAC companies across the GTA, building deep expertise in heating, cooling, and ventilation systems — with a particular focus on the water-source heat pumps found in Toronto's condo buildings.

In 2016, Patrick started MacLeod Air as a part-time air conditioning company, dedicating every spare hour to building something of his own. By October 2018, the demand for honest, expert HVAC work had grown to the point where MacLeod Air became a full-time operation. Since then, the team has grown into a crew of experienced technicians who all share Patrick's commitment to getting the job done right.

Today, MacLeod Air serves condo buildings and homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area. The business has grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied customers — neighbours telling neighbours, building managers referring residents, and repeat clients who trust Patrick and his team to give them an honest answer, not an inflated quote.

Unlike most mobile-only HVAC companies, MacLeod Air operates a fully functional repair shop for off-site work. When a heat pump needs a TXV valve replacement or a more complex repair, we can bring the unit to our shop, work on it efficiently, and return it within days — not weeks. This capability means faster turnarounds and better results for our customers.
